Sailing to South America: GTK’s Custom-Built Electric Bus Shipped to Uruguay

GTK has completed delivery of its custom-built battery-electric city buses to Uruguay, marking the company’s maiden foray into Uruguay’s market for electric buses and injecting fresh momentum into China-Uruguay cooperation on green transport.

Tailored for Uruguay’s road conditions and public-transport requirements, the delivered 11.2-m buses represent a mainstream size for urban commuter services. Fitted with 32 comfortable seats, the buses are powered by high-performance central-drive motors that deliver smooth power output and outstanding energy efficiency. Featuring a user-friendly low-entry layout to facilitate boarding and alighting and enhance passenger comfort, the buses are also equipped with multi-layer safety protection systems. Built to withstand local challenging road conditions and heavy-duty daily operations, they deliver safe and efficient urban mobility.
